1Does flying cause a lot of fear?
It is the same sensation that is determined when experiencing a change in our daily life. Once our feet have left the ground, we recognize the sense of flight that is expressed in tranquility, peace, and harmony.
Translation: It is the same feeling that is experienced when undergoing a change in our everyday life. Once our feet have left the ground, we recognize the sense of flight that is expressed in tranquility, peace, and harmony.
2What does the pre-flight check consist of?
It consists of properly arranging each accessory that makes up the flight system (checking that all paraglider lines are free of blocks or tangles), paraglider correctly laid out on the ground, carabiners securely closed, helmets and harness buckles fastened. It also involves observing the current atmospheric conditions.
3What safety equipment comprises the flight system?
Helmets, harnesses with helmet-type protection, harnesses with Airbag or Bumpair protection, emergency parachutes, and safety carabiners.
4Can I bring a camera for photography or video?
Of course, you can bring a camera for photography or video. The passenger has their hands completely free to sign autographs, greet, and of course, take photos. But it's better not to abuse by looking through the viewfinder too much as it's easy to get dizzy (it's similar to reading in a car).
5What should I do?
During takeoff, you should run in the direction indicated by the pilot and maintain a progressively accelerated run (sometimes just a slight forward movement). Even when you feel that the paraglider is already lifting, try to take 1 or 2 more steps. It is very important to always stay in front of the pilot.
6 Are only two people going?
In the tandem flight (two seats), there is the pilot and the passenger. If you are with another person, they can fly with another pilot and both of you can fly at the same time.
7What are the schedules they handle?
Our flight site operates from Sunday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The activity takes place every day during these hours. It greatly depends on weather conditions, but typically we schedule flights in the morning as it tends to rain in the afternoons during the winter season, and in summer, strong gusts of wind can make it impossible to fly. Since each day has different weather patterns, we recommend calling in advance and making a reservation.
8What requirements do you demand for flying?
To engage in the activity, you don't need to have prior knowledge, as all the instructions are provided by the pilot before the flight. At the moment of takeoff, they assist you in putting on the flight gear and secure you to the pilot.
9Can an adult fly alone if they are instructed on how to handle it? And if so, can the companion fly with them?
An adult can fly alone if they receive training to become a paragliding pilot. If you want to fly with your companion, you would need to fulfill additional requirements to become certified as a tandem or biplaza pilot. This activity requires a lot of practice, as being responsible for another person's safety should not be taken lightly.
10 Is it necessary to make a reservation for the flight?
It is recommended to make a reservation, as there is a risk of missing the flight due to factors such as unfavorable flying conditions (rain or strong winds), pilot availability during weekdays, and prioritizing those who have made reservations when there are many people in line.
11How far in advance should I make the reservation?
You can make a reservation with 1 or 2 days in advance, even call on the same day you want to go flying between 7:00 and 9:00 am in the morning, so you have time to prepare and arrive on time.
12Here are some suggestions before your paragliding trip:
Before flying, it is recommended to: - Avoid eating a heavy meal or flying after a night of drinking, as it may cause nausea during the flight. - Wear comfortable clothing such as jeans, sneakers, and a jacket. - Keep in mind that this activity is subject to weather conditions, so it is advised not to rush as the service will be prompt if weather permits.
13Can a person of any age fly? Is the landing in the same place as the takeoff?
Children as young as 4 or 5 years old can fly, as well as individuals up to 90 years old (if they are physically fit to do so). If the weather conditions are favorable, it is possible to land at the same place of takeoff. If that is not possible, the landing will be done in Bello, and you will be brought back without any additional cost.
14Is there any weight restriction for a person?
There is no specific weight restriction, but weight can have an impact on the flight conditions. If a person weighs between 90 and 130 kg, it can positively or negatively affect the flight. For example, on a cold day without thermal updrafts to sustain the flight, the duration may be shorter as the paraglider carrying the weight of the pilot and passenger may not reach sufficient altitude to maintain flight. In such cases, the landing would typically be in Bello. On the other hand, on a sunny day with strong winds or under normal conditions, there would be no issues as these individuals are well-suited for flying in such weather conditions. The weight carried by the paraglider allows it to maintain flight and reach sufficient altitude to return to the starting point.
15Would you like to know if a person who suffers from high blood pressure can fly?
There is no problem, a person cannot fly if they have received medical instructions stating that they cannot engage in this type of activity.
16 Am I underage, can I fly?
Yes, of course you can fly; you just need to go with a responsible adult.
